Performance and minimal impact
are the engines of our exploration
without limits of innovation.
In 2020, we decided to introduce a new component in our innovation laboratory: the biopolymer. Our BioPoly proved to be the best option among the biomaterials we were able to test: renewable, recyclable, durable and extremely light, it meets all of our requirements for the development of our products.
A FIRST STEP
TOWARDS BIOFABRICATION
Still very experimental, biofabrication is a whole new approach in the design of new generation materials, drawing inspiration from nature while preserving it, to imitate it to perfection. Our ambition on these subjects is very great, and the road to be covered is still long and complex. With our first biopolymer, we are paving the way for this sophisticated neo-manufacturing and providing a technical and scientific response to the environmental and social challenges of our time.
BioPoly, an unrivaled plant polymer.
RENEWABLE,
RECYCLABLE, SUSTAINABLE,
& EXTREMELY LIGHT.
BioPoly is used for the manufacture of our BioLab range. Made from castor seeds and using only 10% fossil energy in its composition (compared to 100% for a traditional plastic), it is one of the most successful bio-materials. Its low density gives it perfect texture and stability, while being able to withstand very strong impacts and tensions. It adopts a flexible rendering for our bracelets and rigid for our cases. Extremely light, it allows us to limit the weight of our shipments as much as possible for an ever lower carbon impact.
AN IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL
AND CONCRETE SOCIAL
The use of organic resources involves recourse to agriculture. Our sector is part of the SUCCESS initiative (Sustainable Castor Caring For Environmental & Social Standards), an organization that supports more than 3,000 certified farmers, for a total area of 5,200 hectares in India. It guarantees traditional and reasoned agriculture, fairer remuneration for farmers and the economic development of villages in the region. Our raw material is BioMass Based labeled by the Japan Organics Recyling Association, which certifies materials with high performance and recyclability.
